Steve Jenkins- Sure to get a hot reception on tomorrow
Jenkins will be at London Road until 2005 much to the delight of manager Barry Fry. It emerged from this news today that Barry Fry had been competing with Notts to sign the ex-Welsh international back in the summer, when Jenkins chose to sign a month to month contract with Notts.

The 31 year old defender is set to make his debut for the Posh against non-other than us, his former club on Tuesday night when Notts travel to London Road for the re-arranged Division Two clash.

Barry Fry told Posh's Official website: “With Chris Kanu going away on international duty with
Nigeria, we were short in that area of the field. He has signed for 18 months and goes straight into the squad for the game against his former club Notts County.”

He began his career with Swansea City, before joining Huddersfield Town for £275,000, followed by a loan spell at Birmingham City, before joining Cardiff City on a free transfer before joining Notts County where he had been on a month to month deal at Meadow Lane since joining the club in the summer and has made 23 appearances for the club.

Jenkins is looking forward to making a big impression at Posh after difficulties at
Meadow Lane as he told the Peterborough official website: “ I am pleased to be moving to Posh and can’t wait to get started. It is strange how my first game could be against the side I have been playing for, but that is how it works out sometimes.”

Maybe if he plays on Tuesday night, we might be ‘gifted’ a goal down the right side……you never know!!!
