Wilkie joined Notts on loan at the start of last season, and after an impressive performance in the 2-1 friendly win over West Ham, there were high hopes for the 6ft 4 defender.

His league debut for Notts didn't start as hoped, a leaky defence let 4 goals in as Notts slid to a 4-2 defeat at Port Vale. Jocky Scott however kept faith in him for the next game, and Notts won 2-1 against Cambridge.

But Wilkie injured ankle ligaments in the game, and was never seen in a Notts shirt again. Jocky Scott cut his loan spell short and he returned to Dundee, where he eventually forced his way back into the International frame.

He was part of the Scotland squad that went on a end of season tour of the far east, and earned his debut for Scotland against a Hong Kong Select side.

Wilkie has been a regular for Dundee this season, and played a full 90 minutes in Scotland's 2-0 win over Iceland on Saturday. Reports from Scotland suggest he had a impressive game, stepping in for David Wier and not putting a foot wrong.
