Former Duo Set To Face Magpies

Mark Warren
Warren was released at the end of last season after a number of injuries restricted his appearances to very few in the last 2 seasons of his time at Meadow Lane.

Following his release from Meadow Lane, he earned a trial at Layer Road and soon after was offered a one year deal which he accepted.

He was a big favourite with The Magpies faithful for his commitment to the side, and his tough tackling approach. He scored just 1 goal for Notts after signing from Leyton Orient in 1999, the goal was scored in a 4-4 draw with Bristol City in November 1999. He made 98 appearances for The Magpies, playing under 4 different managers.

Kevin Rapley
Rapley was signed by Sam Allardyce in February 1999 for a fee of £50,000 and became an instant hit with a winner against Luton Town, but the goals dried up and he only scored only 6 goals in his time at Notts.

He was in and out of the side during his first full season with Notts, and at the end of that season he was transfer listed by Gary Brazil but remained for the rest of the 2000-2001 but hardly got a look in under Jocky Scott after a mistake which cost Notts a goal against Brentford.

He was farmed out to both Exeter and Scunthorpe on loan, before being released before the start of last season and teamed up with Colchester where he has become popular with the fans.

Both players deserve a warm reception tomorrow, as both gave 100% to the cause at gave their all to the club.
