Forest target Richo

Nottingham Forest boss Paul Hart hopes to persuade the 32-year-old pivot to cross the River Trent and play his football at the City Ground.

Richardson, who previously played for Dagenham & Redbridge, made the breakthrough into the Football League late in a footballer's life.

At the age of 25 he joined Birmingham City but after less than one season and just seven league appearances joined Notts and since then has been a regular performer.

That consistency has alerted Forest who have high hopes of signing the Barking-born player.

One thing is almost certain it doesn't look likely that Ian "Richo" Richardson will not be offered a new contract at Meadow Lane. So it looks as though he will move to the other side of the Trent. Our near by neighbours and enemies - Nottingham Forest.
