Andy Parkinson
Parkinson, who was transfer listed by Neil Warnock following the a single season on Sheffield United's books, was quickly snapped up by Gary Mills - who hardly let the doors breeze shut behind him before going about adding to his squad - in January 2004 on an initial one-month loan from Bramall Lane where, in what evidentally was an unhappy spell with the Blades,
the ingeniously originally named 'Parky' took his Magpies bow by storm, scoring in the 1-0 victory away at Wrexham.

A month later, Warnock called Parkinson back to Bramall Lane for first team duty, turning out in the FA Cup Quarter-final defeat against Sunderland. A month on still, the Liverpool-born winger-cum-striker returned to Meadow Lane, again on loan, where the former Tranmere wonder-kid impressed once more.

However, this was not enough to earn himself a place at Bramall Lane as, just three full appearances into his Blades career, Parkinson was transfer listed before moving on once more, agreeing to a two-year deal at Blundell Park on Friday.

NCM would like to wish Andy well and look, grudgingly, forward to seeing him at Meadow Lane once more.
