Fans: We want top seven finish

Do or die: McParland must deliver next season.
Notts County Mad's latest poll asked: What are your minimum expectations of the team for next season?

46.3 percent of the 121 participants stated that the Play-Offs should be the lowest aim in the new campaign.

2001 was the last time that the Magpies achieved a respectable league position when they attained an eight placed finish in Division Two (now League One).

Since then they have been relegated to the basement division and have failed to break the top-half barrier come the 46th week.

The highest placement achieved was 13th under the departed Steve Thompson.

Thus far Ian McParland has failed to reverse the club's fortunes, but having been in charge for nearly two seasons fans are expecting a rare push towards glory.

A further 27.3 percent said that a top-half placement would be acceptable and an ambitious 15.7 percent set out the top-three as an tolerable finish.

6.6 percent thought that avoiding relegation was a realistic selection with the remaining 4.4 percent opting for the upper-bottom half.
