With Stef Oakes, Saul Deeney, Steve Scoffham, Paul Bolland and, of course, player-manager Ian Richardson all out of contract at the end of the current campaign, there has been much ado as to which players are to be given new deals with the club.

Richo: Yet to hold talks
However, as Notts County MAD can exclusively reveal, the club have yet to open talks with any of the players out of contract in the summer.

In an exclusive interview last week with Trust representative Steve Thompson – in which the nitty-gritty of Mills’ supposed big ‘pay off’ were scrutinised – NCM learnt that any talks with players were yet to commence, with a decision as to the players’, and indeed the manager’s, future set to be discussed at boardroom level later this month.

Speaking to exclusively to NCM, club director Thompson said "There haven’t been any discussions yet. We need the players that are out of contract to perform."

"We’ll be addressing that in the very near future but no, not that at this stage."

Tune in to Notts County MAD early next week for the full interview, as well as NCM catching up with Trust chair’, Keri Usherwood.
