After progressing through the much-acclaimed Derby academy along with new team-mates Dan Martin and Chrissy Palmer, Doyle was shipped out on loan to gain invaluable first team experience in his hopes to secure a first team place at Pride Park.

Doyle: Willing to stay
The 19-year old has played twice in as many weeks since signing for an initial one-month loan stint, producing two impressive displays in the club’s ‘problem’ position at right back.

And, after impressing in Saturday’s local derby against bitter rivals Mansfield, Doyle admits that he would welcome a longer-term stay here in a bid to further his football education.

"I am hoping to get Notts County up in the league and winning again. It's an experience for myself and I want to do well for the club," said Doyle, speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post earlier today.

"I've come off the bench for Derby a few times and played five and ten minutes but it's nice to get a full 90 minutes. I’ve played a lot of reserve games [at Derby] but it's not exactly the same as playing in front of 10,000 people as against Mansfield."

"It's great to get a couple of 90 minutes under my belt and I want to build on that to help Notts move forward. I'd like to stay until the end of the season," he concluded.

For any developments on a possible extension of his loan spell, be sure to check back to NCM over the coming weeks.
