Double Injury Shocker

Mildenhall has damaged thumb ligaments and needs an operation straight away, ruling him out for the rest of the season.

"He can't carry on as it is and he needs an operation as soon as possible. If he has the operation now he will be ready for pre-season." Notts boss Billy Dearden told the clubs website.

Billy Dearden must now decide who comes in for Mildenhall, with either Stuart Garden or Saul Deeney stepping into Mildenhall's shoes.

It will be a hard act to follow as Mildenhall has been in superb form between the sticks after being recalled to the side in November.

Deeney had a superb game in yesterday's reserve game with York, but is yet to make a senior appearance and Dearden may go for the experienced Garden for such a vital game.

Midfielder Darren Caskey will also miss out on Saturday due to an ankle ligament injury, and injury he suffered a few weeks back against Port Vale.

Richard Holmes also picked up another ankle injury in yesterday's reserve game, so he is out on Saturday, and so is Simon Ramsden as he is suspended after picking up 10 bookings this season.
