McLeod...League Two player of season
McLeod, 22, has netted 21 goals in all competitions this season for Martin Allen's promotion chasers. The Dons are third in the table at present hoping to secure their place in an automatic promotion place come the end of this season.

In his third season at the club, McLeod has scored goals at all levels but already been involved in two relegation campaigns for the Bedfordshire club.

McLeod moved to play at the National Hockey Stadium back in 2004 from Derby County following an unsuccessful loan spell at Sheffield United.

In the nights other awards, Jason Koumas of West Brom received recognition taking home the Championship award for player of the season, while Billy Sharp of Scunthorpe United won the League One prize.

17-year-old Gareth Bale won best young player for the divisions following impressive displays for Southampton under boss George Burley.

Back to League Two and Bury fan Stan McGowen won best fan award, which will be little reward for what has been a disappointing season for Shaker's fans on the whole. Bury are down the bottom end of League Two and were also kicked out of this years FA Cup back in January for fielding an ineligible player.
