The Tigers have just one fit senior goalkeeper on their books after the sale of Matt Glennon last week, and new manager Peter Taylor has swooped to take Deeney on loan for a month.

Deeney recently had a trial at Premiership side Blackburn Rovers, who were impressed with what they saw but no firm offer has been made according to Notts manager Billy Dearden.

This is the 3rd time Deeney has been loan out by The Magpies, having had loan spells at Gresley Rovers and Ilkeston Town last season, where he earned rave reviews from both clubs for his performances.

Deeney has not managed to get a look in this season for Notts, with Stuart Garden and Steve Mildenhall above him in the pecking order.

Both Notts and Deeney see this move as a good one, and hope will gain alot of experience from this move.
