DeBolla swoop concludes eventful day

On a day where the Magpies' future was ultimately secured thanks to six-figure donations from two anonymous supporters, Thordarson has managed to acquire two forwards on a day where the arrival of fresh blood initially seemed unlikely.

Thordarson had already netted Gainsborough Trinity forward Liam Needham on non-contract terms, but the County boss managed to also rush through the signing of 22-year-old DeBolla before the 5pm deadline.

The diminutive Chesterfield front-man was signed by the Spirerites from Charlton Athletic two years ago, but has found himself out-of-favour in recent times, with his last league appearence coming back in late-September.

A skillful individual, DeBolla has scored 5 goals in 18 starts at Saltergate and is likely to make his debut for the Magpies' during Saturday's visit of Torquay.
