Dearden: "We were excellent"

With Notts only winning one in seven at home this season, the pressure was on Dearden and his side to deliver the goods. The Magpies did not disappoint.

Make that 2 wins in 8!
Goals from Clive Platt and Darren Caskey capped a fine performance for County, dominating a game over a team which had just knocked Brighton over 4-0.

Dearden had this to say to the Nottingham Evening Post: "I was delighted that we did well against a team like Brentford because that's good preparation for our cup game at Chelsea on Wednesday."

"We played excellently, especially in the second-half and we thoroughly deserved our three points."

"I'm pleased Darren Caskey got that goal at the death. The little fella worked hard all afternoon."

"Some people have had a go at him of late but he's trained hard and lost a few pounds. It's good having him in the side in that kind of form."

Following such a good performance Notts must try and find some consistancy, and where better to start than Stamford Bridge, against Chelsea!
