Notts are in a good position now that they are three points from safety since they beat Blackpool 1-0 on Saturday.

But the former Mansfield Town manager has warned his Notts squad that their destiny is very much in their own hands in a nail-biting finale.

"By and large results have gone for us, and while we're still not out of danger yet, we need another victory ideally," he told the club's official website.

"It's in our own hands and though the lads are in a great mood - as they have every right to be - I keep telling them that we still have a bit to do yet.

"Every time we get a result we go three points clear and until we can't be sucked back into danger we will need to be on our toes."
