Notts climbed to 14th in Divison 2 with the win over Port Vale, and are now 5 points clear of the drop zone, and Dearden was keen to point out there is still plenty to play for.
"We were poor in the first half and it was not the best of games but it was a tremendous goal that won it for us," said Dearden.
"We've now taken 10 points from the last available 12 which is good but we have to keep it going and cannot afford to relax."
