Dearden to sweat over Murray.

Adam Murray
Murray's already a hit down at the 'Lane.
Murray, a free-agent since the termination of his contract at Derby, is understood to be ready to make assurances to his future within the next seven days as a host of clubs from throughout the Football League chase the midfielder’s signature.

The hard-working midfield maestro has been running out for the Magpies on a non-contract basis for the past three weeks in a bid to regain the fitness lost during a troublesome past few years from Murray, in which he has had to overcome alcoholism as well as a string of family problems.

Murray’s three appearances for the club – one start (vs. Oldham) and two from the bench (vs. Gravesend (FA Cup Round 2) and Wycombe) – have proved valuable, both on a personal level and for the team, as he helped the Magpies pick up 4 precious points in the league whilst sandwiched in between, a place in the Third Round of the FA Cup.

Murray
’s agent, Gino Culbertson, had this to say on the matter: ‘We had hoped to make a decision on Adam's future last week but hopefully it will now be made early this week.’
