Dearden To Keep Promise Over Heff's New Deal

Dearden said at the end of last season that Heffernan would be offered a new deal following his impressive performances during "The Great Escape" and for the Republic of Ireland U21's, where he scored on his debut.

However, since Notts have been placed into administration, pay deals have been on hold at Notts and Dearden has said he will sort out Heffernan's deal as soon as Notts are out of administration.

Dearden also said the sooner the deal is sorted the better for the club, and for Heffernan as he is Notts' future and he loves playing for the club.
Until then, Dearden has told Heffernan to keep up his excellent form, which has seen him hit 3 goals in his last 3 games.
