Dearden: Saul's going nowhere

There had been reports, following on from NCM's original story yesterday, that had suggested Deeney was moving to a mystery Premiership club, thought to be Tottenham Hotspur, on the basis of what Deeney's agent had said.

But Dearden insists no approach has been made and that Deeney's agent was purely saying it to try and get his client a move.

Dearden told the Notts County official site: "There has been nothing mentioned to me about Saul Deeney. His agent is trying to get him into The Premiership."

Well there you go then. The saga continues...
