Dearden Praises Super Stall

Stallard finished the season with 25 goals in all competitions with his goals firing Notts to Division Two safety and despite missing a number of chances in the last two matches of the season Dearden was quick to say: "He's been tremendous for us."

Fans favourite Stallard and young Irishman Paul Heffernan missed glaring chances in the 1-0 loss at Peterborough while Stallard was again off the scoresheet on the final day of the season when Notts beat Cheltenham 1-0.

"Mark knows he could have had six or seven goals in the final couple of matches." Said Dearden.

"But he was uncharacteristically off target with his opportunities

"But I don't think anyone can criticise him after what he has contributed this season

"He's certainly shouldn't be too hard on himself." Added Dearden.
