Notts were well beaten 3-0 Mick Wadsworth's side, with The Magpies showing little passion and Dearden was clearly not going to defend the players after the performance.

938 Notts fans were presant, seeing the performance described by Dearden as the "worst since I was at the club".

Dearden told the Nottingham Evening Post;
"There was not one player out there who deserves any credit.
"From the back to the front we were poor and there is no excuse for it.
"We lacked passion and we did not create anything. We never looked like getting anything from the match."
he fumed.

He continued to say;
"All I can say is that I apologise for that performance, it was not acceptable.
"They have paid their money and that was not fair to them."
"We have the chance to bounce back straight away and that is what we have to do,"
he said.
"We can't produce another performance as bad as that anyway.
"That was easily the worst we have played in my time at the club, without doubt.
"It is hard to explain why it happened, but we have to make sure that it doesn't happen again, that is certain."

Notts' chance to bounce back is on Saturday, when Northampton Town are the visitors to Meadow Lane with Notts aiming for their first home win of the season.
