Dearden Hits Out At Lack Of Effort

For the first time Dearden hit out at his players efforts at the weekend, and is clearly not afraid to put the Youth Team boys in if the players don't pull their weight again.

A clearly upset Dearden told the Nottingham Evening Post;
"I don't think we have the resources to get out of the trouble we are in at the moment," he said.
"And if we perform in the same manner as we did on Saturday for the rest of the season then we are going to be in trouble.
"I do think that we need to bring fresh players in. I would like to make new signings.
"But, at the same time, we know that it isn't going to happen.
"We know that the club does not have the financial resources to bring in any new players, so we will have to cope with the players that we have."
"I don't think it is about attitude, it is more about bravery," he said.
"There were too many times out there when we looked scared to make a mistake. Nobody wanted to take any chances, nobody was willing to gamble.

Notts have some excellent opportunities to get out of the bottom 4 over the next few weeks at The Magpies face teams around them. Notts travel to Huddersfield and Cheltenham soon, and Peterborough come to Meadow Lane next week. Meanwhile the local derby against Mansfield is a month and a half away, and that can be classed as a relegation scrap already if Notts continue their current form.
