Mark Stallard and Paul Heffernan both had clear cut chances to give Notts the lead early on, but after missing a number of chances they came back to haunt The Magpies as Richard Scott hit the winner for Barry Fry's side in the 2nd half.

"It is disappointing because this was a match we should have won. We should have been 3-0 up before half-time," Dearden told the Evening Post.

"But we missed some fantastic chances. We have had three one-on-ones with the keeper and we haven't managed to score." He Added.

The Magpies have failed to score in their last 3 games, and will he hoping to end the season with a bang at home to Cheltenham on Saturday.
