"A few games ago we lost six on the bounce and didn't look capable of winning another game."
He continued: "That run ended with a draw against Colchester and since then we've enjoyed three good wins against Tranmere, Peterborough and now Bury.
"We've been playing very well away from home but have been losing games we really ought to have been winning.
"But we've always believed in ourselves and I'm thrilled for the lads because they've stuck at it."
