Dearden Delighted As Notts Hit Four

Mark Stallard and Danny Allsopp were both at the double for Notts, with the only downside being that Notts conceeded a silly goal to Julian Alsop.

Dearden told the News of the World;
" I thought we could have had 6 or 7 if our finishing had been abit better, but I will certainly settle for 4 goals away from home"
"I gave the players abit of a roasting after last week's game against Cardiff, and the responded well, we made a blistering start with 2 quick goals and with all due respect to Cheltenham they were never going to come back from that"

Dearden, like Notts' fans, will be delighted to finally get the ball rolling and hopefully this is the kick start to Notts' season. Notts have some games coming up where they can really get points out with Peterborough, Huddersfield and Swindon all to come over the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, Cheltenham boss Graham Allner was less than happy with his side.
"That was our worst performance of the season by a million miles." he said
