Dearden - pledges to make amends
County were hammered 5-0 by Bristol City on the opening day before a penalties win following a 0-0 draw against Preston. But the Magpies still couldn’t manage to claim a point or a goal as they fell 1-0 to Denis Smith's Wrexham.

Dearden said: "We created a lot of chances but they fell to midfielders and we never managed to strike a clean ball.

"It was disappointing that we couldn't score and on the occasions we managed to hit the target their keeper made good saves.

"We've gone three matches without scoring in open play and that's a worry but we did have the chances to score."

Notts’ next challenge will come away to Swindon at the County Ground next Saturday.
