Dearden blasts Notts after defeat

Following last Saturday's victory at Chesterfield, Billy Dearden had asked his players to put a run together to in order to move clear of the Second Division relegation zone, but any chance of that disappeared as Rushden romped to a 3-1 victory.

Dearden had this to say about Notts' performance "That was the worst we've played all season. Without the goalkeeper it could have been six."

"We had one or two chances but I thought we were fortunate to take the lead when we did. We got the goal against the run of play."

"We gave them free headers from corners but we didn't learn from those mistakes. Onandi Lowe was a handful but we didn't make it very difficult for him," Dearden told the Nottingham Evening Post.

"I didn't see anyone challenge him all night and I thought we defended terribly. They out played us in the middle of the park and we were miles away from the performance at Chesterfield on Saturday."

Dearden and all Notts fans will be hoping for better things against Tranmere Rovers this Saturday.
