Dearden Blames Mildy

Last updated : 22 October 2003 By Rob Davies
Mildenhall dropped a clanger to gift Grimsby striker Michael Boulding the first goal; Notts also gifted Grimsby their second, Nicky Fenton giving the ball away at a free-kick.

Dearden blames Mildy. Do you agree?
But Dearden, speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post, just blamed one man.

"We are very disappointed. We gave them two bad goals and for the first our keeper was fully responsible. He has had a good season for me but it was a very big mistake and it proved very costly."

There is no doubt that the first goal was a big mastake by Mildenhall, but I don't remember Dearden singling out Stuart Garden for such criticism when he dropped arguably an even bigger clanger on the first day of the season at Bristol City.

What do you think? Do you think Billy was right to single out Mildenhall for criticism? Or do you think it was an act of a desperate man?
