Billy Dearden - "We Played Some Good Football"

Goals from Mark Stallard and Paul Heffernan secured a 2-1 win over The Cobblers, and Notts climb to 18th in Division 2.

Following the shambles at Huddersfield last week Dearden was looking for a positive response, and he got just that. A much happier Dearden told Radio Nottingham:

"We fully deserved to get the 3 points today, we had 4 or 5 clear cut chances today but just could not finish. When they got it back to 1-1, I thought we were not going to come back from it, but young Heff got us a much deserved goal" Said the Notts boss.

Paul Heffernan - Deserved His Goal

"I was pleased for front men, they both played well and throughly deserved their goals. Even though they both missed good chances today, they are getting in the right positions to score the goals which is pleasing compared to last week at Huddersfield" he continued.

"I was delighted the way they responded, and we played some good football today. We played with passion today, I told the lads if the crowd see that you are giving 100% and trying hard they will put up any mistakes you make" Dearden said
