Deadline Day Update - Hawley to Crawley

Last updated : 31 January 2012 By Jacob Daniel

On a quiet (so far) transfer deadling day at Meadow Lane, the first piece of Notts news has seen striker Karl Hawley move to League Two side Crawley Town on loan until the end of the season. Hawley, who has scored less than ten league goals in two and a half seasons at Meadow Lane, was forced down the pecking order by the signing of Jonathon Forte last week. The former Carlisle and Preston man joins Steve Evans' side, who are fighting for automatic promotion from League Two and knocked Hull City out of the FA Cup at the weekend. He has big boots to fill, however, with free scoring forward Matt Tubbs having just joined Bournemouth for £800,000.
