Davies set for Meadow Lane stay

Notts County winger Ben Davies looks set to stay at Meadow Lane, despite interest from Championship side Derby County. It looked almost certain that the Magpies' player of the season from last year would be leaving the club, with Notts already having turned down bids from the Rams.

However, with only half an hour of the transfer window left it looks unlikely that Davis will be leaving Meadow Lane, whilst Robin Chipperfield has reported that the former Shrewsbury Town man is set to stay on his Twitter account. The 29 year-old scored sixteen goals from midfield for Notts last season and opened his account for this year with a stunning thirty yard free kick against Watford in the Carling Cup.
