Davey, 57, has been with Notts since 1996 and Albert Scardino wishes him well: "Geoff stepped into an executive role at Notts just
after the rebuilding of the ground was completed and set about reorganising the club's administrative affairs. He helped create our very successful conference and banqueting business and streamlined other operations to deal with the fast-changing world of lower division football. He was particularly helpful in recent months as we came to grips with a difficult transition in ownership. It has been a successful career for him. The board and the Club wish him well."

Geoff Davey said that he has enjoyed his time at Meadow Lane :I have enjoyed my time at Meadow Lane immensely," Mr Davey said. "I'm sorry to be leaving the many valued friends I have made in the past five and a half years. I joined the club to help prepare it for sale, and that has now been achieved with the change of control completed earlier this month and the appointment of a new chairman in Albert Scardino. I believe a bright future lies ahead, but it is time for me to take up a different challenge. I wish Notts County and all associated with the Club much future happiness and
success."
