Midfielder Dan Crowley said: “There was interest from other clubs but when I first met the gaffer and heard him speak about Notts County as a football club and how he wants to play.
“Just seeing from afar where the club was going, I just wanted to be a part of that.
“It is a club that is massively on the up and I knew that I couldn’t miss out on that. I was on the phone with my agent all the time making sure the deal was done.
“How the gaffer wants to play football and how he sees me fitting into that made sense to me.”
