Confidence booster for Notts ahead of crucial game

Last updated : 15 February 2008 By Paul Smith
The majority of voters believe that Notts County will not be relegated this season, despite slumping to twentieth position in League Two.

Ian McParland's men have won just once in twelve games and find
themselves only five points above the drop zone, and having played two games more than current bottom two Mansfield Town and Wrexham.

But that hasn't stopped 68% of you backing the Magpies to avoid the dreaded drop out of the Football League for what would be the first time in their history.

Therefore, only 32% of the voters thought that the drop was possible, with voting having taken place before and during the 1-0 Darlington defeat on Tuesday night.

It is sure to provide a welcome boost to the players and management as Notts visit Chester City in a must win game at the Deva Stadium on Saturday.
