Transfer listed Notts County centre back Liam Chilvers has extended his loan spell with League Two side Port Vale for a further two months after impressing during his initial temporary month with Micky Adams' side.
The former Preston and Arsenal defender was a regular in the Notts side last season but struggled to stay fit and find form, leading to Martin Allen placing him on the transfer list this summer. Since Chilvers' move to Vale Park, the Burslem club have conceded just two goals and risen to eight in the League Two table, indicating that Chilvers may finally be starting to get his career back on track.
