Chesterfield reject 'derisory' Lester bid

Chesterfield have rejected an offer of £50,000 from Notts County for Jack Lester, a bid which they have described as 'derisory'. Notts had announced their intentions to bring Lester to Meadow Lane earlier this morning.

Whether Notts are going to test Chesterfield's resolve with an increased bid is yet to be known, although it should prove to be an interesting few days following executive chairman Peter Trembling's pledge to bring the club "exciting signings".
