Changes imminent

Out: Thompson picked up his fifth yellow card of the season on Boxing Day.
Ian McParland will no doubt shuffle his side around for tomorrow's encounter with Aldershot Town.

On-loan Derby County right-backs, Jason Beardsley and Mitchell Hanson have both returned to their parent club, meaning that the position is left vacant.

John Thompson would have been the ideal replacement but he is missing through suspension after picking up his fifth caution of the season against
Grimsby Town on Boxing Day.

Another option, Adam Tann remains out with a knee injury, but it has been revealed that he could be back in action over the next couple of weeks.

As a result, Stephen Hunt may revert to left-back, with Jamie Clapham shifting to the opposite side like he has done at several points already this term.

The returning Michael Johnson can then expect to slot back into the heart of defence alongside Michael Edwards.

Jamie Forrester may also be thrown straight into the starting line-up following his comeback from a three-game ban.

With attack being an area that the Magpies have struggled in recent games, Sean Canham could make way.

Jay Smith, Nathaniel Wedderburn, Gavin Strachan and Adam Nowland are all battling it out for the central midfield spots.

Richard Butcher (foot) and Russell Hoult (shoulder) are definitely missing through injury.

The Shots' captain, Rhys Day will face a last minute fitness test to see if he can play.

Defender, Dave Winfield remains out with a long-term ankle injury and Junior Osbourne has been released.
