Caskey takes stick

Notts County supporters are expressing their disappointment in the Notts County captain Darren Caskey.

Fans are saying he's too slow, he doesn't feed the forwards enough. His passes don't always pay off, he is too insonsistent, he doesn't try hard enough and he is overpaid.

Your Thoughts...

Let's get things right...... if he was any good he wouldn't be playing in this league.

Magpie BJS says:
A competent player, but nothing special!

His set piece play has been disappointing, and his distribution is inconsistent. What really annoys me is that he consistantly argues with the referee, which only gets him into trouble.

Having said that their is no-one obvious to replace him, so lets just hope he gets better!

Mark Allsopp says:
Caskey turned in some good performances towards the end of last season and even though he has not set the world on fire so far in this campaign,I do think he is trying.
Against Wigan most of the stick he received was unjustified,as he was not the only player who appeared to be in a coma during the second half.
On the first haly performance we looked promotion contenders, but the second half saw us produce little to suggest we can mount a serious challenge.
Also Danny Allsopp has put in a couple of below-par performances and needs to get his game together.
I am not going to Barnsley as I do not fancy the 250 mile round trip from my home in Cambridgeshire, but I will be there to see us destroy Brentford next Saturday................

A decent player when on form and has ball at his feet. Looks poor when
having to chase the ball and tackle.

If he could run and tackle like Bolland then we'd have a great player,
but if he could do that he wouldn't be playing for Notts.

Caskey is quite a good player. Billy Dearden has given him the captain armband lets hope he shines.
