Failed to convince the Notts faithful as easily.
These are the remarkable words of the new boss of Darren Caskey after completing his deadline-day move to the West Country.

Bristol manager, Danny Wilson could not hold back the excitement of swooping for the ex-Notts man and told the Western Daily Press of Caskey’s ability to be his ‘big name player’.

The 28-year-old - whose disappointing Notts days amounted to an equally disappointing anti-climax – was forced from this potentially sinking ship to join Wilson’s promotion-seeking galleon and will be looking to earn himself a deal that will take him beyond the short-term deal originally agreed with the Robins.

Danny Wilson told the Daily Press: ‘We watched the game Notts County had with Chelsea in the Carling Cup this season and, no disrespect to anyone at Chelsea, but he could have been playing for them.'

'He can be a goal-scorer and he can certainly get double figures every season.
