Caskey Out With Point To Prove

Caskey was withdrawn early in the 2nd half, much the delight of most of the 938 Notts fans present at the game, where he was replaced by Paul Bolland.

The former Reading and Spurs man has struggled to find his best for The Magpies this season, and with being captain as well, Notts need a strong leader out on the pitch. The stick Caskey has been recieving may make him come out with a more determined performance on Saturday, but we will have to wait and see.

However, the finger could not just be pointed at Caskey for Saturday's horror show at The McAlpine, as the whole midfield never got going. Billy Dearden said after the game that Caskey had "gone a long way from doing himself justice".
Caskey did apologise for his performance, and Billy Dearden has some difficult decisions to make this week as to who remains in the starting 11 after Huddersfield.
