Cas, who made three starts and three sub appearances for The Blades, has been offered non contract terms to stay at Bramall Lane in a bid to earn a longer contract with The Blades.

He joined Notts from RBC Roosendaal in June 2001 on a free transfer and spent a season and a half at Meadow Lane in which he made 65 appearances, scoring 8 goals including a 40 yard volley at Brighton which won "Goal of the Season 2001-2002".

With Notts having to cut their wage bill and Cas not having the best of times at Meadow Lane, he was allowed to join The Blades on a free transfer for the rest of the season.

Interestingly, during his 6 appearances for The Blades, Cas has not been on the winning side with him featuring in defeats to Watford, Wimbledon, Preston and Reading and draws with Crystal Palace and Gillingham.
