Cas, who had a three month spell at Sheffield United following his release from The Magpies, has signed a two year contract at Blundell Park and will be back at Meadow Lane when the two sides meet next season.

After an impressive start to his Notts career after signing on a free transfer from RBC Roosendaal in July 2001, Cas endured a frustrating time at Meadow Lane but was a key player in the "Great Escape" and his fantastic 40 yard volley at Brighton will be remembered by Magpies fans for many years.

Cas, now 31, made 58 starts and 7 sub appearances for Notts, and scored 8 goals in the process.
