Cas makes his debut for the Blades

Cas came on for the last 18 minutes in United’s game against Reading last night. It was an important game for all concerned with both teams fighting it out for the playoff places in Division 1.

Marcel came on as a substitute for Javary but within 60 seconds of

his arrival on the pitch, Reading had taken the lead. Not an ideal start at his new club for the Dutchman!

Sheffield United could have reduced the deficit in the final moments to 3-2, but Cas’s cross was in vain as Wayne Allison failed to get a touch on it to direct it into the goal.

I hope Cas has more luck at the Blades than he did at Notts and he manages to secure a first team place at Bramall Lane in the future.

Notts fans will keep an eye on Marcel’s fortunes over the next few months to see how he copes in Division 1 and you never know, we might even get to see him on ‘The Premiership’ next season if Sheffield United make it up to the top division!
