Notts County's Carling Cup 1st round tie with Doncaster Rovers will be played on Tuesday 11th August, it has been confirmed today. There was some confusion over the date the tie would be played due to Nottingham Forest also being drawn at home, but they will face Bradford City on the Wednesday now, it has been revealed.
This is good news for the Magpies, as it means their tie avoids a clash with the international friendly between England and Holland, which takes place on Wednesday 12th August and would surely have had a detrimental effect on the Magpies' crowd should we have been forced to play on the same day.
