Can McIlroy shock the bullish Bulls?

The beauty of League Two football is the mentality that 'anyoone can beat anyone'.

That has already been proved this season with usually tough competitors in the division Lincoln City, Notts County and Grimsby Town all failing to find their feet so far.

The fact that Peterborough remain off the top of the pack despite spending heavily this summer, also supports this theory.

It takes more than money to comepte perhaps.

And the emergence of Hereford United and Morecambe to the top end of the table in the early stages of the campaign, shows anything is possible!

Both sides were playing non-league football two seasons ago and after blistering starts are in amongst the play-off places early doors.

The two go head-to-head on Saturday as they look to increase their tags as the divisions surprise packages so far.

Game of the Day: Morecambe v Hereford

Both sides have lost just once in the opening five games and sit sixth and seventh in the table respectively.

Who would have thought it?
Bentley...Grafting midfielder

Morecambe, the new boys on the block fighting around the play-off's in their rookie season.

And, Hereford, the team who failed to score in each of their last ten legaue games last term, unbeaten in the first four and looking one hell of a force.

Well, start beleiving it because not only have thse sides made postive starts but they also don't look like budging.

The Shrimps took the scalps of Championhip clubs Wolves and Preston in the Carling Cup, and look at total ease with life in the Football League.

Boss Sammy McIlroy has built a wide well adapted to life in the fourth tier.

A good work ethic and organmisational skills seems to be getting them results.

Grafting central midfielder Jim Bentley seems responsible for firing up the side and running the minnows tireless engine room.

The simple way is the Bentley. Breaking the play and moving the ball on has been effective. A very useful outlet.

While, the Bulls have too caused a cup shock, smashing League One's Yeovil 4-1.

Their only set back was defeat to Macclesfield last weekend but showing the grit they so lacked last season, they should be fighting at the right end of the table this time around.

They have always been hard to beat but a lack of sqaud depth ultimately cost them a top half finish last season.

Increasing numbers over the summer should stifle their biggest flaw as they seek consistency.

They play a rigid formation but can be predictable. Already they seem to
Robinson...Raw talent
have more than one dimension this time aroundbrought about by more fierce competition for a first team jersey.

Theo Robinson in particular has added a cutting edge to teh Bullsattacking play. He covers so much ground, he cannot help but be involved.

The 18-year-old has raw talent and his enthusiasm seems to be lifting the side.

On loan from Watford, he is a striker with bags of pace and a poachers nature.

Prediction: Home win by one goal

Elsewhere...

Basement boys Wrexham host Rotherham. No side has lost more than the Dragons so far while the Millers are in starnge form.

A worthy win over big boys Peterborough has been ruined by disappointing draws with Stockport and Chester.

They have enough quality but lack fight when facing the physical sides.

The Welshmen may fancy their chances.
JJ...To face unsettled Imps defence

League leaders Darlington face play-off semi-finalists Lincoln. The free scoring Quakers against the leaky Imps could produce some fireworks.

Joachim and Abbot in a rich vein of form will surely cause problems for the City defence that is chopping and changing of late.

And, Chester will be hoping to bounce back from their first defeat as they travel to a so far poor Bury outfit.

The new look Blues startred with a bang but stumbled against Morecambe. With talks of investment this week, they are certainly a club on the up.

The media attention could get a reaction either way on the pitch.
