Brough picked up a thigh injury in the first half of Tuesdays game, and despite trying to carry on after lengthly treatment, he was replaced by Simon Ramsden before half time.

He has only recently returned to the side following a ankle ligament problem, and could be set to once more miss a match due to injury.

Brough was handed his Welsh U21 debut earlier in the season following some impressive performances, and he made a promising debut and hit the bar late on with a rasping drive.

"It was like a gunshot wound, I couldn't look at it really," Said Brough.

"I went in for a tackle and, if anything, it was me who was a little late. The lad just kept his studs in and caught me on the leg.

"Hopefully there won't be any muscle damage and I should be back soon."

He absence could be aided by the news that Paul Bolland and Richard Liburd could be back in the squad for Saturdays game with Plymouth.
