Bowditch on trial at Yeovil

It would seem that forward Dean Bowditch hasn't done enough to earn a deal at Meadow Lane after his trial last week. The former Ipswich Town man spent a week with the club in a bid to earn a deal following his release by the Tractor Boys, but with Notts now in Austria Bowditch has moved onto his third trial of the summer by linking up with Terry Skiverton's Yeovil Town.

Bowditch started pre-season at Huddersfield Town, but with Lee Clark's side splashing the cash Bowditch didn't do enough to earn a deal at the Galpharm, and the lack of news on his week at Meadow Lane seems to indicate that Ian McParland isn't going to take his interest in Bowditch any further. Although, like other trialists John Irving and Chris Sharp, there is no confirmation that he does not feature in McParland's future plans.

Notts also now have Luke Rodgers on trial, who was released by Yeovil at the end of the season. Following a porlific spell at Shrewsbury Town Rodgers has failed to settle at Crewe Alexandra, Port Vale or Yeovil and is now looking to earn a deal at Meadow Lane for the new season. Rodgers is currently in Austria with the side on their one week pre-season training camp.
