Boro blow for Baudet

The news will come as a huge blow both for Baudet himself and Caretaker player-manager Ian Richardson, who is already short of defenders.

The Frenchman picked up the booking in the second half of Tuesday's 0-0 draw at table topping Scunthorpe Utd. His strength and aerial prowess will be a great loss against strikers of the calibre of Mark Viduka and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

The 25-year-old will be available for selection for the forthcoming fixtures against Cheltenham and Rochdale, before serving the one-match ban against Steve McLaren's men.

The giant centre back has been one of the more impressive performers in the Magpies side since signing in the summer from Rotherham Utd, producing a number of no nonsense displays at the heart of the Notts rearguard.

County also have left back Rob Ullathorne and striker Matty Williams just one booking away from suspension.
