Bolly Out but Caskey and Brough Could Be In

It was thought at one stage that Paul Bolland would delay his hernia operation until after the final game of the season because of player shortages in the midfield department.

However, with Darren Caskey and Michael Brough looking likely to be fit to face Tranmere tomorrow, Bolland has gone into hospital to have his op so hopefully he will be fit to start next season.

Nevertheless, manager Billy Dearden has said that he won’t risk both midfielders tomorrow.

"Both Darren and Michael have done a little training in the last few days and it looks as though at least one of them will start.

"I don't think it is worth risking both of them at the same time, though. Not with both of them just coming back from injury",
Dearden told the Evening Post.

The Notts Boss has also said that Danny Allsopp could take some part in the match after playing in the reserves 1-1 draw with Grimsby this week.

Dearden is determined that the Magpies will not give playoff chasing Rovers an easy ride.

"If they lose then their chance has gone," said Dearden. "But we should want to win as much as they do. We want to give the fans a positive end to the season."
