And the tough-tackling midfield man admits that he hopes his days at Notts County aren't coming to an end, and that a new deal can be agreed in the near future.
"I have been here for a long time and I don't want to play anywhere else," he told the NEP. "I am out of contract in the summer, but I do want to stay.
"I have had one conversation with the manager about it and hopefully we'll be able to talk again soon. I would like to sign a new contract, if we can come to an agreement."
After spending years in and out of the team, this season has been arguably Bolland's finest in a black & white shirt, him being one of the few to have shone in what has been a very poor season.
And the hard-working displays shown by the ginger-haired maestro should be enough to persuade Richardson to hand him a new deal.
As well as Bolland, Richardson also has decisions to make over Stefan Oakes, Steve Scoffham and Saul Deeney at the end of the current campaign, as well as having to sort his own playing future out.
