Bolly Battling To Be Fit

Bolland, who is already struggling with a hernia problem, tweaked a ligament in his knee against Huddersfield but Billy Dearden has said the problem does not look too serious and he should be fit to face Steve McMahon's Blackpool on Saturday.

The former Bradford midfielder has been playing through the pain barrier for a number of weeks now with his hernia problem, and it seems that when, and if, The Magpies have secured Division 2 safety he will have an operation to fix the problem so he is fighting fit for pre-season.

Despite his injury he has been hardworking and versatile as ever, putting in good performances at the back and in midfield.
